Moira Mulroney
appointed as new Director of Development and Communications

The Support Center for Child Advocates welcomes Moira Mulroney as the new Director of Development and Communications.

Using her legal and fundraising experience, Moira will assume overall responsibility for all agency communications and development of the Child Advocates presence in the community, as well as oversee all aspects of fundraising for the agency. "With her widespread experience in the not-for-profit sector, Moira is a great asset to our team. Her leadership, determination and innovation are well positioned here to help the agency thrive and succeed in the future," says Frank P. Cervone, Executive Director of the Support Center for Child Advocates. "We are thrilled to have Moira on board and look forward to all the great work and support she will provide to the agency."

Moira comes to Child Advocates with more than 10 years of expertise in government and non-profit settings. She began her career in law as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia, where she worked  closely with District Attorney Lynne Abraham on policy and legislative issues, and created the office’s first formal grants program. She then moved into not-for-profit fundraising where most recently, she served as Director of Philanthropic Gifts for WXPN helping to launch a capital fundraising campaign for the public radio station.  Before that, as Director of Grants for the Philadelphia Zoo, Moira managed a $6 million grant program to fund general operations and special conservation and educational programming, helping the Zoo reach its funding goals.

Moira received a BA in English from Boston College and her JD from Villanova University School of Law.
